Step 1

Install Client Control

In order to communicate with this NETePay, your POS may use one of the following ActiveX controls depending on the integration method chosen by the POS developer. If you are unsure of which to install please contact POS technical support.

Support was added for the PAX A6650 device.
PAX EMV Configurations for Credit with Preferred Debit is modified setting the contactless CVM limit to zero for all Debit AIDs. This will result in PAX devices prompting for an Online PIN for all contactless Debit transactions.
For all Ingenico devices, PIN Bypass is now disabled for contactless transactions for Amex, Mastercard and UnionPay. Bypassing the PIN causes a cryptogram validation error because of a change to the TVR.
For IDTech NEO2 devices (VP6800 and VP6300) the firmware version check is removed. Different models have different firmware versions.

This version is built with the latest Store & Forward library (8.20). Version 8.20 includes a fix for Incremental Auth transactions when interwoven with multiple transaction sequences of PreAuth, Incremental Auth, Partial Reveral and PreAuthCapture. Each sequence is now forwarded in order, regardless of how the transactions were stored originally.

An EMV card brand certification was completed for Ingenico Tetra devices. These include the Lane/3000, 5000, 7000 and 8000. It also includes the Move/3500, Move/5000 and Link/2500. The latest client controls (dsiPDCX and dsiEMVUS) support these devices with clear card data, with Ingenico TDES DUKPT PAN encryption and with Ingenico OnGuard PAN encryption.
EMV Support is added for China Union Pay.
Telechek “Echeck” regression testing was completed as part of this release.
First Data’s Validated P2PE is supported using Ingenico’s OnGuard PAN encryption. This NETePay supports a new parameter to control support for Ingenico devices enabled for OnGuard. NETePay will not allow transactions with OnGuard encryption to be processed unless “TransArmor Validated P2PE using Ingenico OnGuard” is enabled at PSCS/NETePay.
For EBT eWIC transactions, when an eWIC Discount is provided, NETePay no longer adjusts the authorize amount.

A recent EMV brand certification has been completed for Ingenico Telium devices. New for this certification is support for EMV contactless. With Ingenico Telium devices, Visa and Mastercard contactless is EMV only. Amex and Discover contactless is both MSD and EMV.
First Data’s Validated P2PE is supported using Ingenico’s OnGuard PAN encryption. This NETePay supports Ingenico Telium devices configured for either TDES DUKPT or OnGuard PAN encryption. OnGuard is required for First Data’s Validated P2PE. NETePay still supports devices without PAN encryption. This includes the Verifone Vx805 and Ingenico Telium devices.
For EBT eWIC transactions, the TxnAmt field returned by Rapid Connect is now returned as the authorized amount.
Rapid Connect recently added support for a POSID field to allow the point of entry to be identified uniquely. The LaneID field is now sent to Rapid Connect in this field. The POSID field is up to 4 characters.

EMV Support “Debit Only” option. When EMV Support is set to “Debit Only”, the EMV Param Download function will cause only Debit AIDs to be loaded for Visa, Mastercard and Discover. Credit AIDs will still be loaded for Amex and JCB. ISVs should send <CardType>Debit</CardType> to require Debit for all EMV payments.
Support is added for “81” China Union Pay cards.
Support is added for Local Batch Inquiry.
Support is added for Visa Spend Qualified Indicator. The field is passed in and included in Void and Capture/Completion transactions when available.
The eWIC BalancePreVal transaction is changed to an Authorization rather than a Balance Inquiry.
New build released 2/5/19 – Includes the following changes related to eWIC
- Padding removed from UPCPLUData on requests. This corrects an issue where padding results in the wrong UPC/PLU length being communicated to the eWIC processor.
- eWIC item unloading changed to account for padded UPCPLUData returned by Rapid Connect.
- BalancePreVal TranCode now sends and Authorization transaction to Rapid Connect instead of BalanceInquriy. This ensures the current eWIC processing code is sent for a balance which proceeds a sale/capture.

The Local Batch Reporting feature is enhanced to record information on declines and errors on a daily basis. The Local Batch Report Viewer now includes a new tab for Declines and Errors providing a way to view and print declines and errors. The information presented includes the time, the transaction status, the decline or error message, if the decline occurred when forwarding the transaction as part of store and forward, the card type, the transaction code, the account source, the purchase amount, the gratuity amount, the cash back amount, the invoice number, the reference number and the operator ID.

- Support is added for the following transactions.

  - EBT EWIC ReverseSaleByRecordNo
- Support is added for an EBT EWIC Discount amount. The Discount amount should be sent in the amount tag . This is the total Discount amount of an EBT EWIC transaction. Rather than use the total Discount amount, all items presented may be discounted individually.
- Support is added for a fee amount called Surcharge. The Surcharge amount should be sent in the amount tag . Rapid Connect accepts this field for the following Credit transactions: Sale, FSASale, PreAuth, AuthOnly and Return.
- Store and Forward and Local Batch Reporting are updated to support the new transactions.

New build released 10/2/18 – Change made to store and forward logic to fix an issue where transactions that should have been stored were forced online instead.

New build released 1/17/19 – Zero padding of eWIC item UPC/PLU removed.

The following changes are made related to store and forward processing.
- - The SAF_ForwardAll operation will now recover if communication failures occur during the forwarding process. An error will be returned along with the number of transactions that have completed forwarding. A subsequent SAF_ForwardAll will pick up where the previous one left off.
  - If there are no transactions to forward, a SAF_ForwardAll operation will now return SUCCESS along with zero totals.
  - The SAF Totals now include a count of Uncaptured PreAuth requests. All PreAuth transactions should be captured prior to forwarding stored transactions. There is no way to be paid for a forwarded PreAuth that was not captured.
  - There is a purchase amount limit parameter set on PSCS and a purchase limit sent in from the POS. The smaller of the two is compared to the transaction purchase amount. If the transaction purchase amount is less than or equal to the smaller of the two limits, then the transaction can possibly be stored offline. Otherwise, the transaction will go online.
  - There is a maximum stored transaction limit set on PSCS and a stored transaction limit sent in from the POS. The smaller of the two is compared with the current number of stored transactions. If the addition of one more transaction would keep the number of stored transaction under or equal to the smaller of the two limits, then the transaction can possibly be stored offline. Otherwise, the transaction will go online.
  - Rapid Connect AthNtwkID is now returned as part of AcqRefData and used for subsequent Void and ChipOverride transactions.

A new “EMV Cardholder Verification” parameter is added to this NETePay where the choices are “All CVMs”, “Signature” or “None”. “All CVMs” is the default on PSCS and includes Online PIN, Offline PIN, Signature and No CVM. This setting in NETePay determines the “EMV Terminal Capabilities” setting stored in the PIN pad during an EMV Param Download operation. If this parameter is changed in NETePay, then an EMV Param Download should be run at each workstation where a PIN pad is attached.
