Step 1

Install Client Control

In order to communicate with this NETePay, your POS may use one of the following ActiveX controls depending on the integration method chosen by the POS developer. If you are unsure of which to install please contact POS technical support.

dsiEMVUS® 1.79

Datacap’s out-of-scope ActiveX control for NETePay supporting a variety of EMV-enabled hardware options.

  1. Support was added for the PAX A6650 device.

  2. PAX EMV Configurations for Credit with Preferred Debit is modified setting the contactless CVM limit to zero for all Debit AIDs. This will result in PAX devices prompting for an Online PIN for all contactless Debit transactions. 

  3. For all Ingenico devices, PIN Bypass is now disabled for contactless transactions for Amex, Mastercard and UnionPay. Bypassing the PIN causes a cryptogram validation error because of a change to the TVR. 

  4. For IDTech NEO2 devices (VP6800 and VP6300) the firmware version check is removed. Different models have different firmware versions.

Datacap’s ActiveX control for non-EMV transactions using NETePay and GIFTePay software that supports dozens of plug and play hardware options, including PIN Pads, Mag stripe readers, all-in-one touch terminals and contactless readers. dsiPDCX is included as part of the dsiEMVUS download, so this control only needs to be installed for non-EMV installs.

NETePay Director

NETePay Director provides a simplified installation process with go-forward remote software updates.

Release date: 09/22/2021

  • Support is added for EVO SNAP host messaging version 2.1.36.  EVO fixed an issue for EMV chip card ZeroAuth transactions.

  • Support is added for Incremental Authorization and Partial Reversal transactions for credit cards.  One or more Incremental Auths may follow a PreAuth transaction.  This can be followed by a single Partial Reversal.  And finally, a PreAuthCapture is used to finalize the payment. 

  • An EMV brand certification was completed for PAX devices.  There is still a Visa Debit transaction to be run when EVO and FIS are ready.

NETePay Director provides a simplified installation process with go-forward remote software updates.

Release date: 05/06/2021

During startup, if NETePay failed to pull parameters from PSCS, it should use its last set of parameters. In some cases, the Contactless Support parameter is set to “0” (Contactless MSD) rather than the last value pulled from PSCS. This is issue is corrected in this version.

  • EVO requires Datacap to obtain a Session Token which is used to authenticate each payment request. Previously, the Session Token was obtained every 30 minutes. Now the Session Token is obtained every 20 minutes.

  • A change is included to the “ApplicationConfigurationData” XML field to remove a “nil” string. The “nil” string was preventing the “ApplicationConfigurationData” fields from being processed by the EVO SNAP host.

NETePay Director provides a simplified installation process with go-forward remote software updates.

  • This version supports a single Service Key for all merchants. There is no longer a need to supply a Service Key value when boarding a merchant via PSCS.

  • EVO requires Datacap to obtain a Session Token every 30 to 45 minutes which is used to authenticate each payment request. EVO has provided an Identity Token (hard-coded in NETePay) that will expire in seven years. NETePay uses the Identity Token to request each Session Token. The Identity Token will need to be updated at some future date prior to its expiration. Previously, the Identity Token expired in three years.

  • Support is added for Ecommerce and MOTO merchant categories. Previously, only Retail and Restaurant categories were supported.

  • For previous versions, EVO returned a $0.00 Balance for all credit card transactions even though the card was not a prepaid or debit card. EVO has corrected this issue starting with this version.

  • Initial release of NETePay for EVO SNAP.
    • ID Tech Augusta with TDES encryption is certified for EMV on this platform. dsiPDCX and dsiEMVUS both support this device for EVO.
    • Support for typical EMV and non-EMV credit card integration with the Augusta.
    • Multi use tokens are supported.
    • SNAP does not current support Adjust or AdjustByRecordNo. They do have plans to support an Adjust this year.
    • This NETePay supports all of the optional features supported by other EMV NETePays such as Local Reporting and Store and Forward. Some features cannot be used at this point, like Pay at the Table, since that is no PIN pad supported. Debit and EBT will be supported in the next release with Ingenico devices.

Local Batch Report Viewer can be used to view the locally stored batch report of Host based NETePay who support support this feature and have it enabled via PSCS.
