CAP Software was established in Fort Worth, Texas in 1978, by Chuck Atkinson. CAP’s original applications grew from a back-of-house inventory control and parts management system for marine dealers to a full Point of Sale (POS), inventory control, customer management, and employee management software suite. CAP Software strives to save their customers time and money each and every day by providing the best products and services available.

GMC needed to upgrade their systems to comply with payment industry-standards such as US EMV credit & debit (chip cards) as well as to continue to use their established inventory and management system for college book rentals and GMC-related merchandise. 


GMC uses CAP Software’s SellWise Pro Point of Sale with Datacap’s NETePay™  software and  Verifone’s VX 805 PIN Pad. This cost-effective payments solution provides GMC with the ability to accept EMV chip & PIN, magstripe, EMV Debit, NFC/contactless and stored value gift card transactions. CAP Software’s SellWise Pro has been in place at GMC for more than 20 years. As GMC’s needs have changed, CAP’s SellWise Pro has helped accommodate GMC’s evolving payment needs with the addition of Datacap’s software. Datacap’s NETePay software is ideal for GMC because it allows them to send EMV transactions to virtually any payment processor(s) in North America, affording them true payments flexibility.
