“Data security has undoubtedly been the leading driver for payment developments in the last year, with U.S. EMV getting the lion’s share of press,” said Justin Zeigler, marketing director, Datacap Systems. “But, EMV only solves part of the problem. To prevent card data breaches, merchants should be looking at solutions that make use of encryption and tokenization as well.”
This release adds yet another processing option to Datacap’s current EMV-certified versions of NETePay which to date include Mercury, Vantiv, Paymentech, Sterling Payment, First Data Rapid Connect, TSYS and WorldPay with more to follow.
NETePay for Heartland is available for outright purchase or via the Datacap/Heartland usage program immediately. Merchants interested in processing EMV transactions through Heartland should contact their POS reseller to learn how Datacap payment solutions can help with EMV transaction processing and enhanced cardholder security.
