Step 1

Install Client Control

In order to communicate with this NETePay, your POS may use one of the following ActiveX controls depending on the integration method chosen by the POS developer. If you are unsure of which to install please contact POS technical support.

  1. The PAX whitelist is updated with InComm card BINs.
  2. CollectCardData will now collect clear card data IF the ISV passes in <ClearDataAllow>Allow</ClearDataAllow>.  Once clear card data has been collected, the ISV can use GetCollectedCardData to retrieve the data.  dsiEMVUS uses a new local whitelist that includes all BIN ranges in the current device whitelist. 
  3. A change is made for PAX so that the contactless icon does not disappear when switching forms.
  4. Manual Entry is now supported for CollectCardData for PAX devices.  To trigger Manual Entry, the <AcctNo> tag should be sent with a value of “Prompt”.  The PAX device will prompt for the account number, expiration date, Service Code (CVV) and ZIP.  Included in manual entry is support for <CVVRequired> and <ZipRequired> tags to require these fields and not allow them to be bypassed.  If tag <CVVRequired>Allow</CVVRequired> is included, the “SKIP” button is not shown on the form.  If tag <ZipRequired>Allow</ZipRequired> is included, the “SKIP” button is not shown on the form.
  5. For PAX, a new TranCode is added to allow an alpha string to be collected and returned.  The TranCode is “GetCustomPrompt”. Use the <Question> tag for the prompt. There is also an optional <QuestionTimeout> tag that can used to supply a reasonable timeout value in seconds.
    The response is returned in the <Answer> tag assuming you enter a string of characters and press Enter. If Cancel is pressed, then you receive a cancel response.
  6. The CancelRequest method is now allowed to cancel GetSignature for Ingenico Tetra.  
  7. When performing a CollectCardData using the VP3350, the <AccountSource> is now included in the data when swiping a card. 

  8. For a clear Ingenico Tetra device, the clear account number needed to be included in the PIN Entry command (31.) when manually keying an EBT transaction. Without including the account number, the 31. command returned 31.7. dsiEMVX then returned “No Useable PINBlock Found in Message”. When performing a CollectCardData using the VP3350, the <AccountSource> is now included in the data when swiping a card.

  1. For EBT transactions dsiPDCX now allows clear card data to be collected from encrypted devices.  This includes PAX, Ingenico Tetra and Verifone P400 devices.  dsiPDCX keeps a list of all of the EBT card BINs and allows those cards to be clear when processing EBT (Foodstamp or Cash).  
  2. If an ISV sends <FSABins>, this tag will be removed before passing the transaction on to NETePay.

  1. Changes are implemented for Incremental Auth with support added for Amex cards.  A new certification for Incremental Auth was completed on 8/8/2025.   
  2. New URLs are supported for connection to Worldpay Core.  For Production, the URL is prod.protectedtransactions.com.  For Testing, the URL is cert.protectedtransactions.com.  
  3. The POS Device Capability Code is now sent with a value of “8” indicating that EMV contactless is supported.  
  4. When using an unattended EMV device, such as the PAX IM30, now sending the Point-Of-Service Condition Code with a value of ‘3’ for unattended rather than a value of ‘4’ for ECR.

  1. Support is added for EMV EBT transactions.  If EMV Support is set to “Credit and Debit” or “Credit and Debit Preferred”, then the EBT AID is sent to dsiEMVUS during an EMVParamDownload.  dsiEMVUS 1.82 or above will load the EBT AID into an Ingenico Tetra, Verifone P200/P400/M400 or PAX device.  dsiEMVUS 1.83 or above will load the EBT AID into an Ingenico Axium device.  EMV EBT integration is documented with the dsiEMVUS 1.82 release.

  2. Support is added for FSA with lookup for Hosted.  It also requires Logic Engine 2.04 which is now in PROD. 

  3. Level III data is now supported for card present transactions.  It does require Level II data to also be sent. 

  4. EMV Public Keys (CAPKs) are updated to remove keys that expired 12/31/2024.  CAPKs are loaded into devices during an EMVParamDownload. 

  5. We now have a registered MPG ID from Worldpay that we are sending on all Mastercard credit card transactions.  We completed a mini-cert for this feature.

  • A new merchant category choice is added – “Retail with PreAuth (manual close)”. For Retail, the batch typically auto-closes. This allows a Retail merchant to perform manual close when using PreAuth/PreAuthCapture.

  • The PAX unattended device, IM30, was recently certified for use with Worldpay Core NETePay. The IM30 will be available with the next release of dsiEMVUS.
  • Support for Level III data is added. Level II data must be sent when Level III is provided.
  • There are now two Merchant Category settings for eCommerce. The settings are:
    • eCommerce with Adjustment (Manual Batch Close)
    • eCommerce without Adjustment (Auto Batch Close)
  • NETePay generates a System Trace Audit Number (STAN) for each transaction that it sends to Worldpay. The value of the STAN is now returned by NETePay in a new XML response tag <SystemTraceAuditNo>. The next version of dsiEMVUS will pass this field back to the POS.

  • Support is added for Incremental Auth and Partial Reversal.  New TranCodes supported include IncrementalAuthByRecordNo and PartialReversalByRecordNo.  As with any payment service, it is OK to capture for more than was authorized (TIP included in capture), but when capturing for less than was authorized, a partial reversal should be completed prior to capture.  Certification has been completed for this feature.
  • PAX attended devices were recently certified for use with Worldpay Core NETePay.

  • For the in-store NETePay, Vantiv tokens are now supported. This includes support for SalebyRecordNo and ReturnByRecordNo transactions. Previously, follow-up ByRecordNo transactions were supported using the retrieval reference number from the original transaction. This will still be the case if a merchant account does not have tokens enabled.
  • The EMVPreAuth transaction was added at this version.
  • The Vantiv Draft Locator field is supported. This field is sent on all transactions with the value of the InvoiceNo supplied by the POS. The Draft Locator is a maximum of 11 characters.
  • A new XML field is supported called MerchantDefinedData. An ISV can send up to 75 characters of data in this tag for any transaction and Vantiv will store for later reporting. The data is sent to Vantiv in the Customer Discretionary Data field. This field is unique to the Vantiv NETePay.
  • Support for the eCommerce merchant category is added at this version. This merchant category requires that the merchant close the batch, the same as the Restaurant merchant category.
  • Card On File support is added. The implementation is the same as Worldpay IP, TSYS and Heartland.
  • When running as a Multi-Merchant NETePay on Azure, this version supports SurchargeWithLookup. If a surcharge amount is supplied and the card BIN lookup indicates the card account is not a debit card, then the surcharge amount will be added to the purchase amount of the transaction. The value of the SurchargeWithLookup field in the response will indicate if a surcharge was included in the transaction. If this field is “0.00” then the surcharge was not included. SurchargeWithLookup is supported through the PC client controls. Support will be added to the next release of the Tran EMV client app for TranCloud.
  • When running as a MM on Azure, this version supports tokenized transactions using 3DS Apple Pay in-app tokens. This is the first NETePay certified for 3DS tokenized transactions.

  • An EMV card brand certification was completed for Ingenico Tetra devices. These include the Lane/3000, 5000, 7000 and 8000. It also includes the Move/3500, Move/5000 and Link/2500. The latest client controls (dsiPDCX and dsiEMVUS) support these devices with clear card data and with Ingenico TDES DUKPT card data encryption.
  • The EMV Support parameter now includes a choice for “Credit and Debit – Prefer Debit”. This feature pertains to Ingenico devices. If a card is inserted that includes a US Common Debit AID, that AID is preferred over any other AID on the card and is used for the transaction. The card would typically require a valid PIN for an approval.
  • Support is added for EMV Contactless transactions for Ingenico devices.
  • Support is added for China Union Pay EMV.

The Local Batch Reporting feature is enhanced to record information on declines and errors on a daily basis. The Local Batch Report Viewer now includes a new tab for Declines and Errors providing a way to view and print declines and errors. The information presented includes the time, the transaction status, the decline or error message, if the decline occurred when forwarding the transaction as part of store and forward, the card type, the transaction code, the account source, the purchase amount, the gratuity amount, the cash back amount, the invoice number, the reference number and the operator ID.

  • The following changes are made related to store and forward processing:
    • The SAF_ForwardAll operation will now recover if communication failures occur during the forwarding process. An error will be returned along with the number of transactions that have completed forwarding. A subsequent SAF_ForwardAll will pick up where the previous one left off.
    • If there are no transactions to forward, a SAF_ForwardAll operation will now return SUCCESS along with zero totals.
    • The SAF Totals now include a count of Uncaptured PreAuth requests. All PreAuth transactions should be captured prior to forwarding stored transactions. There is no way to be paid for a forwarded PreAuth that was not captured.
    • There is a purchase amount limit parameter set on PSCS and a purchase limit sent in from the POS. The smaller of the two is compared to the transaction purchase amount. If the transaction purchase amount is less than or equal to the smaller of the two limits, then the transaction can possibly be stored offline. Otherwise, the transaction will go online.
    • There is a maximum stored transaction limit set on PSCS and a stored transaction limit sent in from the POS. The smaller of the two is compared with the current number of stored transactions. If the addition of one more transaction would keep the number of stored transaction under or equal to the smaller of the two limits, then the transaction can possibly be stored offline. Otherwise, the transaction will go online.

  • Support is added for EBT eWIC transactions. This is an optional feature that must be enabled via PSCS and requires integration changes.

  • A new “EMV Cardholder Verification” parameter is added to this NETePay where the choices are “All CVMs”, “Signature” or “None”. “All CVMs” is the default on PSCS and includes Online PIN, Offline PIN, Signature and No CVM. This setting in NETePay determines the “EMV Terminal Capabilities” setting stored in the PIN pad during an EMV Param Download operation.
