Support has been added for the PAX IM30 PIN pad. We have recently completed an EMV certification with Global Payments Canada. The <PadType> value for the PAX IM30 is “IM30GlobalDatacapE2E”. Payment processing is supported only via Hosted where the backend is Global Portico for Canada. The IM30 must be loaded with the latest PxRetailer application (2.00.75) and the “Datacap2Can” forms package. The device must also be injected with a PAN encryption key for the Hosted platform.
There are now two EMV configurations for PAX Global Canada. The PAX IM30 uses the unattended EMV configuration. The PAX A920PRO uses the attended EMV configuration. EMV (contact and contactless) is supported for Interac Debit and all major credit card brands excluding UnionPay. For PAX IM30, CVM’s supported include Offline PIN and None (No Online PIN or signature). For this reason, no PIN key is required. The contactless transaction limit and CVM limit is $250 for all cards. None of the EMV settings can be modified by an ISV or merchant.
