Error: INVLD DATA 002 is a processor error, most notably First Data, when manually closing a batch. This error occurs because there is a corrupt transaction located in the batch or by upgrading a deployment without first closing the batch.


If caused due to a corrupt transaction in the batch:

  1. Contact the processor to verify which transaction needs to be voided
  2. Void transaction through the POS or void transaction through ePay Administrator (only if you can’t do so through the POS).


If caused due upgrading a deployment without closing the prior batch:

  1. Contact Datacap Tech Support
  2. Provide back up of database to Tech Support to review.
  3. If Tech Support is unable to verify transactions that will need to be voided prior to upgrade, merchant will need to contact processor to confirm.
