Verifone P400 - Static IP

What do I need to connect the P400?

  • Verifone P400 PIN Pad
  • Verifone P400 Ethernet cable
  • Verifone P400 Power Supply

1.) Press the “1”, “5”, and “9” keys at the same time to open settings.

2.) Select “Control Panel” (scroll down if needed by dragging your finger upward).

3.) Select “Sysmode” (scroll down if needed by dragging your finger upward).

4.) Select “supervisor”.

5.)  Type the supervisor password and press the “Enter (green)” key. This password can vary.

6.) Select “Administration”.

7.) Select “Config Editor”.

8.) Select “config.usr1”.

9.) Select “sacom” by touching its current value (scroll down if needed by dragging your finger upward).

10.) Select “Modify”.

11.) Type “IP” (To cycle through lower case, upper case, and number press the “#” key)

12.) Press the “Enter (green)” key.

13.) Press the “Cancel(red)” key 2 times to reach the administration menu.

14.) Select “Communications”.

15.) Select “Ethernet”.

16.) Select “eth0″.

17.) Select “Mode”.

18.) Enter your static values for the following fields:

  • IP Address
  • Mask
  • Gateway
  • DNS1
  • DNS2

19.) Press the “Cancel (red)” key.

20.) If prompted “Do you want to save changes?” select “Ok”.

21.) If prompted “Configure another interface? Select “No”.

22.) Press the “Cancel (red)” key twice to reach the main menu.

23.) Select “Exit”.

24.) Select “Reboot”.
