Ingenico iWL 258 – Static IP

What do I need to connect the iWL 258?

TranCloud unit and TranCloud power supply
IP Address for wireless network (What’s this?)
Gateway Address for wireless network (What’s this?)
Password to Wi-Fi Network

1.) Plug TranCloud unit into 120V power outlet using provided power cable.

2.) Turn on the iWL 258 by holding the green key (enter key) in the bottom right-hand corner.

3.) Press the “F” key in the bottom left 4 times.

4.) Press the “F2” key to change the interface to Wi-Fi.

5.) Press the “F3” key to change settings.

Use the “F2/F3” keys to scroll up and down, to select “static“. Press the enter key.

6.) Enter IP Address you created for device and press the enter key.

7.) Enter the Subnet mask for your network and press the enter key.

8.) Enter your network’s Gateway Address and press the enter key.

9.) Press “F4” key twice to skip optional dns1 & 2 settings.

10.) Press the enter key to set Connection mode to “server”.

11.) Confirm the ip port number and Press “F4” key.

12.) Make sure SSL mode is set to “off”. Press the enter key.

13.) Press “F4” for Access Points. Press “F1” for new point.

14.) Make sure your network of choice is selected and press the enter key.

15.) Confirm that “WPA/WPA2” is selected for security (press enter key).

Use the number keys to add your Wi-Fi password.

Note: For Alpha values, the iWL 258 doesn't have an Alpha key, so you'll need to press the number keys until the upper or lowercase value of the desired Alpha character appears.

16.) Press “F1” to save. The iWL258 will then reboot. The iWL258 will show a Wi-Fi icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, and will display a message that says “lane closed”.
