The transition to US EMV is an evolution of the Datacap product line. Because each EMV-enabled device requires a unique processor and card brand certification, Datacap’s intial round of certifications were, for the most part, specific to the Verifone Vx805 – because it solved the most use-cases at an entry-level price point. Now that we’re beginning to certify/release additional pad options, our focus can shift from getting through the first round of EMV certifications to adding new functionality – like mobility.
