Chalfont, PA – Signature capture support has been added to DSIClientx for ePay product users in the U.S.. Windows PC POS system developers can now use Datacap’s Ingenico i6550 U.S. PIN pad control to capture signatures, as well as for other standard U.S. debit PIN pad functions. Once POS developers add signature capture to their software, using Datacap’s control, their system resellers can then provide the signature capture feature to retailers wishing to store electronic signatures. Ingenico i6550 PIN pads used do need to be loaded with Datacap’s config setup.

Electronically capturing and storing cardholder signatures authorizing card payments makes it easier to manage signature storage and retrieval, vs. storing signed card receipt paper copies. This can be very important for retailers who do large volumes of transactions and frequently need to research chargebacks and provide proof of card usage.
