Once a merchant has been successfully registered for Apple Pay on the Web (Apple Pay Registration Instructions), it needs to be incorporated into the merchant’s website. Datacap has created a Validation Tool to assist the POS/Web Developer in proper registration and setup.
Here are the steps for using the Apple Pay Validation Tool:
1 Place the applePayIntegrationTest.html file at the root of the merchant’s website. (Be aware that email providers might block the file, so you may need to use an alternative sharing method.)
2 Access the page directly from your website, e.g. https://pos.integrator.com/applePayIntegrationTest.html.
3 On the page, choose either the Certification or Production Datacap environment. We recommended using the Certification environment first.

4 The page will automatically validate the .well-known file on the integrator's website against the Datacap file.
- If they match, you can proceed.
- If the file is missing or doesn’t match, an error message will be returned

5 After the .well-known file is verified, click "Proceed to Configuration" to verify Datacap setup and parameters.
6 Enter fields for Token Key, Apple Merchant ID, Store Name, and Test Amount. Click "Initialize Apple Pay Test."
- If the Apple Pay button appears, the Datacap configuration is correct
- If the Apple Pay button does not appear, the Datacap Setup/Parameters are incorrect.
